As you may have read in the press, NBN Co Limited intends to expand its rollout over the coming year such that they’ll achieve 2.5 million serviceable connections by 2016. For the historically minded reader you will note that this title was a famous quote attributed to John Maynard Keynes, the grandfather of Keynesian economics. The quote is said to have been made by Keynes as he commented on the harsh post-war conditions placed on Germany at Versailles in 1919. Will Telstra’s lead in mobile persist?

Last month we took a quick look at the Commsday test of mobile operators in Australia (see here for the article). Notably, Telstra’s (ASX: TLS) service scored best followed by Optus (ASX: SGT) and then Vodafone. We also inferred that this may possibly explain Telstra’s growing market share in the mobile space over the past several years.
