Is the Bemis merger a good deal for Amcor shareholders?

Amcor has just announced a merger with Bemis, a US based flexibles packaging company. The new entity will be the global leader in plastics packaging with a market cap of around US$17 billion, annual revenue of US$13 billion and earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of US$2.2 billion.
