  1. Two weeks in a row, Bucko! I was thinking it was about time you got a gig.

    My personal opinion is that the more humans mess with the market to solve a problem, the worse they ultimately make that problem (one way or another). The Fed’s various interventions were originally designed to ‘prime the pump’, but here we are five or so years later and they’re only now starting to take the foot off the pedal.

    You talk of the unintended consequences, David. The world has been floating along in an artificially smooth sea for a long time now and when the time comes, those unintended consequences following such a monstrous intervention could be dramatic.

    On the upside, stock market volatility during the current reporting season could open up some excellent opportunities for the level-headed. But overall, this has a long way to play out, to my mind.
