Support the gift of education
A change of pace; today we want to share with you a charity Montgomery is excited to be supporting.
School for Life Foundation was founded in 2008 by two 21 year old university students. After spending considerable periods of time in Africa, and specifically Kenya and Uganda, Annabelle Chauncy and David Everett decided to make their own contribution. They were moved by the lack of access to education in rural areas of Uganda and the number of children falling through the cracks of a desperately under resourced education system.
Since then they have made an almost miraculous difference in the lives of many children.
School for Life provides education and community development in rural Uganda. For a few thousand dollars they buy the land, build the school buildings and start schools for the ground up. Where once there was an open field and scrub land, today there is a school! School for Life is a not-for-profit making a truly transformational difference to the communities of emerging countries starting with Uganda by providing access to a quality education. They build educated, sustainable, productive and profitable communities by also vocational educating for adults.
To support this wonderful work, funds are always required. In just 30 days, the School for Life Raffle will be drawn and you could win these fantastic donated prizes:
