Have the 4 major banks advised if the limit on interest only loans are for new loans only? Or does this limit include those interest only loans that are being rolled over into a new interest only period?

At least one the majors are also now doing a full servicing re-assessment on all existing home loans that are moving from IO to PIF. In addition the HPI (Henderson poverty index) is rarely used, with Banks doing assessment on an individual clients personal circumstances, including everything from Phone bills to kids swimming lessons! Many of these customers will not meet standard lending criteria- Then what Happens?

Hi Roger, I would have thought shops like The Reject Shop would benefit in some sense that they provide cheap products which people may choose in trying to reduce their expenditure?
