Montgomery Partners with Polen Capital
Montgomery Investment Management is pleased to announce it has partnered with Polen Capital to make two Polen Capital global growth strategies available to a broad range of Australian investors for the first time.
Established in 1979 and with offices in the US and UK, Polen Capital has a long track record of outperforming for clients. The firm’s established team manages close to US$60 billion in total assets and their longest-running flagship investment strategy has delivered on average double digit annual returns for more than 30 years.
“Montgomery Investment Management and Polen Capital share a commitment to investing in high-quality companies with strong growth prospects over the longer term,” said Montgomery’s Chief Investment Officer, Roger Montgomery.
“We entered into this partnership after extensive due diligence and have been particularly impressed by Polen Capital’s investment performance, employee-owned culture and commitment to making ESG analysis a fully integrated part of its investment process,” he added.
Under the partnership, Montgomery will make two Polen Capital global growth strategies available to Australian clients. The minimum investment is $25,000, opening the way for retail investors and financial advisers to access Polen Capital’s investment strategies.
The first strategy to open will be the Polen Capital Global Growth Fund, which will enable Montgomery clients to invest in a concentrated, low-turnover portfolio of 25-35 high-quality growth businesses from around the world. In the first six years, this strategy has delivered a compound annual return, in Australian dollars, of 16.42% after fees, against the benchmark MSCI ACWI Net Total Return Index, in Australian dollars, of 10.77%.[1] The Polen Capital Global Growth Fund is expected to be available from mid-March 2021.
And to follow mid-year will be the Polen Capital Global Emerging Markets Growth Fund, a new fund that invests in a concentrated portfolio of outstanding emerging markets businesses with competitive advantages and the potential for sustained superior growth.
Montgomery Investment Management will seed the funds, in line with the firm’s commitment to investing alongside clients.
