Clouds clearing, or clouds on the horizon?

Clouds clearing, or clouds on the horizon?

Our very good friend Mark Carew at Morgans whipped up these neat little clouds to visualise the relative popularity, at 30 June 2014, of various small cap stocks held by fund managers that specialise in small caps.

The larger the word, the more popular the holding within the top ten stocks held by the 31 fund managers surveyed.

Mark has also surveyed the top ten holdings of seven managers running ex-50 portfolios. The relative popularity of the holdings also appears below.  SEEK (ASX: SEK), Boral (BLD) and ResMed (RMD) were the most popular. Whether a stock being held in the majority of professional portfolios means you should also buy them, or whether it means there’s nobody left to buy the stocks and you should sell them, remains to be seen… as always.
