Over the Money Fence – Where should you invest when markets are wild and you feel scared?
This week, I joined Nicola Dale and Di Edwards from the Over the Back Fence podcast to kick off a new monthly podcast series, Over the Money Fence – created to help women build confidence and clarity around money, and investing.
Finance can often feel intimidating, overly complicated, or simply out of reach – especially for women who’ve been excluded from financial conversations or feel anxious about money.
But that’s changing. More women are managing their finances independently – many starting over alone, some with smaller super balances – and looking for guidance.
Each month we will tackle common financial issues experienced by women. In this first episode we explored a question on many investor’s minds: “Where should you invest when markets feel turbulent and you’re feeling scared?”
We talked about the importance of slowing down when making major financial decisions and the value of seeking sound advice. We also explored alternative investment options – like private credit – that may offer more stability in uncertain times.
It’s a practical and reassuring conversation about what to focus on, what to tune out, and why taking your time can be one of the smartest financial decisions you make.
